The Rooms

Gilpin Hotel offers 25 rooms, all with beautiful lakeland views. Whilst 6 rooms offer cedarwood hot tubs, a further 5 rooms are private, detached lodges with their own en-suite spa. The Gilpin Lake House just a mile away offers just 6 rooms in a private, more intimate setting overlooking a private lake. With a warm, stylish feel, all rooms are individually designed and exquisitely executed.

The Experience

At Gilpin Hotel you will find a croquet lawn as well as resident alpacas and llamas. At Gilpin Lake House, a boathouse is at home within the private 100-acre land along with a small, private lake.

Restaurants & Dining

The resort offers traditional Cumbrian cuisine with firm favourites on the menu such as Cumberland sausage and sticky toffee pudding. The Michelin starred SOURCE creates modern British cuisine with a twist as Lake District produce is combined with incredible flavours. The hotel's second restaurant, Gilpin Spice, has a more relaxed vibe with a menu of tapas-style pan-Asian dishes.

Spa & Wellness

The resort's spa is located at Gilpin Lake House and is therefore off-site if you are staying at Gilpin Hotel. Jetty Spa is designed for couples with a Swedish-style treatment room overlooking a small, private lake. Whilst there is limited availability at Jetty Spa with priority to lake house guests, hotel guests are provided with complimentary passes to Choices Health Club which includes a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.

The Location

Located in the stunning Windermere, the area has a lot to offer. With a magnificent lake to explore, it is the perfect place to enjoy a boat ride. The nearby town of Bowness-on-Windermere offers beautiful, lakeside walks, independent stores and country pubs. The World of Beatrix Potter is also located in the town.
